The price of memory has dropped to the lowest point in 5 months! Will continue to fall

For most of last year, memory prices began to fall from their previous highs and did not rebound until the end of last year. Storage companies such as Samsung are also deeply affected, and their performance has declined.

However, many upstream manufacturers said that the storage market will usher in a bull market in 2020, especially the market development brought about by the launch of 5G and the growth of 5G smartphones, which will become an important reason for the storage market to pick up again.

However, judging from the performance in the first half of 2020, the storage market not only did not continue to rise, but fell to a new low in five months, especially during the 618 period just past. I believe many friends who are concerned about storage products have seen SSD , Memory and other products have been greatly reduced price promotion, and many products are historically low prices. This undoubtedly poured cold water on storage manufacturers.

According to relevant survey data, DRAM prices have been steadily declining recently. As of mid-June, the median price of 4Gb DDR4 memory particles has fallen below US$2, creating a new low since January 2020.

In the past month alone, memory prices have fallen by 4%. This decline is undoubtedly contrary to expectations at the beginning of the year.

However, the bad news is that some analysts predict that the storage market prices will not improve in July and may continue to fall.
