Tencent and AMD work together to develop "Star Lake" server

According to Fast Technology, today, AMD announced that it will cooperate with Tencent to adopt the EPYC Rome processor to jointly create a new server platform called "Star Lake".

It is understood that the Star Lake server is designed for Tencent, based on advanced siphon cooling technology, which can achieve 50% maximum performance improvement.

In terms of performance, Tencent said that the new platform of the EPYC Rome process has an overall performance improvement of 35%, and for a specific scenario such as page query time per second, it is increased by 150%. In addition, ROME can meet Tencent's 98% cloud application scenarios.
