Semiconductor is expected to have a good start, many major manufacturers do not bearish in the first quarter

The prosperity of the semiconductor industry is expected to pick up this year, and there will be a good start. TSMC and many other major semiconductor makers are optimistic that the operating performance of the first quarter will not be off-season.

The heavyweight semiconductor factories South Asia Branch, Licheng, and TSMC have rushed to hold institutional briefings before the Lunar New Year, and unanimously expressed optimistic views on the industrial boom this year.

Li Peiying, general manager of Nanyake, said that the dynamic random access memory (DRAM) market demand is expected to improve significantly this year, and supply will grow limited. Supply and demand should be healthy, and maintain an optimistic view of the market conditions throughout the year.

Li Peiying expects that product sales and prices in the first quarter are expected to grow at the same time, and that operating performance in the second quarter is likely to be better.

The memory packaging and testing factory Licheng is also optimistic that this year's market conditions are expected to grow steadily. The demand in the first quarter is good, and the performance will grow compared with the same period last year. It may even have the opportunity to hit a new high in the same period of previous years.

The wafer foundry TSMC is also optimistic about the outlook for the industry this year. It is expected that the semiconductor market excluding memory is expected to grow 8% this year, and the performance will be better than the decline of 3% last year. The wafer foundry industry will grow 17% and will be better than last year Parity.

Under the strong support of 5G mobile phone demand, TSMC is optimistic that its revenue in the first quarter is expected to remain at the level of 10.2 billion to 10.3 billion US dollars. If the median value is 10.25 billion US dollars, it will reduce the quarter by about 1.3%. This year's total revenue will grow by more than 17%, and the performance will still be better than the industry standard.

TSMC's wafer foundry world advanced is expected to hold a talk after the Chinese calendar year, but the world's advanced chairman strategy has previously revealed that with the establishment of 5G development trends and the slowdown of the U.S.-China trade war, customer demand is rapidly recovering. .

The strategy said that the world's advanced production capacity has begun to be tight, and the emergence of tightness is faster than expected, including strong demand for power management, panel driver ICs and sensors. The agency expects that, in addition to demand recovery, the benefits of the world's advanced acquisition of Singapore ’s 8-inch wafer fab by GlobalFoundries will be fermented, and the off-season performance is expected in the first quarter.
