Seasonally increasing! MediaTek's 5G SoC shipments will exceed 60 million next year

On November 20th, MediaTek's 5G SoC will officially debut a week later. After the placement and operation of Cai Lixing two years ago, MediaTek has gradually turned from a technology follower to a leader. Industry insiders told Ji Wei.com that MediaTek's 5G SoC shipments will reach 60 million or more next year.

According to the industry insiders, next year, TSMC's 7nm capacity of MediaTek's 5G SoC will increase quarter by quarter, initially set at 7 million in the first quarter, 10 million in the second quarter, 21 million in the third quarter, and 27 million in the fourth quarter. This means that MediaTek's MT6885 and MT6873 will have a total shipment of more than 60 million.

According to previous reports from the micro-network, MediaTek's first 5G SoC "MT6885" has been adopted by many mainland mobile phone manufacturers. According to Taiwan media, the performance of this product is better than that of competitors such as Qualcomm and Samsung. It is expected that in the first quarter of next year, the client will have a 5G mid-to-high-end new machine equipped with the chip.

In addition, MediaTek's MT6873 is aimed at the low-end market. A few days ago, industry insiders pointed out that Huawei will introduce MediaTek's MT6873 chip as a low-point 5G platform.
