SK Hynix employees infected with new crown virus, 800 employees were quarantined

According to the Korea Times, SK Hynix said on Thursday that about 800 employees in Icheon Park, about 70 kilometers south of Seoul, were required to isolate themselves. Previously, the company found that a new employee had had close contact with a new coronavirus patient in Daegu Metropolitan City.

South Korean health authorities reported Wednesday that there were more than 10 coronavirus infections in Daegu, 300 kilometers southeast of Seoul alone.

SK Hynix said that a new employee developed symptoms of pneumonia and was then taken to a nearby hospital for a new coronavirus nucleic acid test. The company closed the company's education center on Wednesday and sent 280 new employees home. It also closed internal clinics visited by new employees.

However, the discovery of the new crown virus did not affect the normal operation of its factory. It is understood that SK Hynix has about 18,000 employees in Lichuan Park.
