Infineon: Application for Huawei's supply license is in progress

The U.S. ban on Huawei made it impossible for products based on U.S. software and technology to be used to manufacture or develop any Huawei subsidiary (in the entity list) produced, purchased, or purchased after September 15 without permission. Parts, components or equipment ordered.

This also means that TSMC, Qualcomm, Samsung, SK Hynix, Micron, etc. will no longer supply chips to Huawei. In order to be able to continue to supply to Huawei, many manufacturers have begun to apply for a supply license to Huawei.

Recently, American companies Intel and AMD have both stated that they have obtained permission to supply Huawei.

According to the Nikkei Asian Review, so far, no non-US suppliers have indicated whether they have been approved to supply Huawei. Infineon, the largest chip manufacturer in Europe, told the Nikkei Asian Review that the company earnestly abides by regulations and has developed an update procedure in response to the new regulations.

Infineon said: "As part of these processes, like other manufacturers, we are in the process of applying for a supply license."

It’s worth noting that recently foreign media reported that Infineon CEO Reinhard Ploss pointed out that the company’s core intellectual property rights are mainly registered in Germany, Austria and other countries/regions, and we can trust these countries 100% Will protect intellectual property rights.
